Personality Tests

Lately, I have been working on some research for a webinar I am set to present on Thursday; topic of choice is Personality Types and Entrepreneurship. I was able to find some very interesting information which I am still sorting through, but now I firmly believe the importance of these tests. Understanding how these largely unchanged traits which are specific to our characters, can gauge our success rate when launching a new venture.

Studies confirm the importance of these tests, and state that individuals whose traits match those required by their position are five times more successful than those who don't.

Test results stand to give us a big head start and minimize risk in entering foreign territory. However, individuals should not be discouraged if there traits do not match identically those of their desired position/lifestyle. It is not only important to test into a position but ultimately have a firm believe understanding of what the position requires and ultimately adapting to be successful in your field.

Granted this does make the process a bit more difficult... But, if launching a successful business was easy, than everyone would do it. To really be able to appreciate the success you will achieve, to be able to establish metrics of change and actually witness attainment. Well in my opinion, there is no bigger high or satisfaction that one could get, well perhaps there are but for the time being, just go with it...

It is a very inexpensive and quick process to gain a basic understanding of our personality type. You can easily access free tests online, just by punching in "Personality Tests" into Google. The only reason I will not recommend a specific test is because I have not fully tested the waters.

So until I do, seek out, find what you love to do. Take time to understand the specific character traits which will give you a better chance at success. Spending time to do this in the beginning will really save time and money in the long run.

Focker out...

1 Piece at a Time

One thing I have noticed as I am organizing a plan for the business is I am trying to do too many things at once. I have an end game in mind of what business will accomplish and not it’s about systemizing all areas to turn ideas into a reality.

Often times our venture never reaches the level which we envisioned because we do not have proper steps to get to that stage. The process is literally like putting together a puzzle... You have to take one section at a time, build it out, create a system and move on to the next piece. Like every other new adventure there needs to be a strong base to build off and this should be the first section to finalize. From a strong foundation each subsequent area will be that much easier to systemize...

For example, my plans are to establish a website as part of my foundation; it will include a homepage with a snap shot of our business. As new systems are developed (services and products), the website will be expanded to inform visitors. The homepage is just the base which is available and makes the company creditable, a very important factor in this market. As we contact more prospective clients they will be able to cross reference information by coming to the webpage.

With Real Estate, the entire business revolves around the generating leads. We always need homes for sale and rent to do business. Regardless of the status of homes, this is the foundation of the business. From here it will be our jobs to determine, what the appropriate program is and clearly present the opportunity to homeowners.

Make a, "to do" list, write down your goals, your action plan and STICK TO IT!!!!

Before you know it your new venture will begin to take shape and each system created will be on autopilot and busy creating new business.

First Day of WORK!!!

My day started out the same as it has the last month; I have woken at 5am, completed an hour workout and proceeded to get ready for the day. The only difference about today is instead of leaving the house at 7:15 to catch the 7:39 train into NYC, I had some more time to myself this morning with no need to catch the droning LIRR.

Today I started my new venture and what a great experience it has been thus far, like past days I ate breakfast, showered and got ready for the day. But what a difference it is to eliminate an hour and a half commute to give way for anything else... I understand this is not permanent and come next Monday I will have to return to my 7:15 - 8:30 work day. But this has really opened my eyes to the opportunity of running a successful home based business. The flexibility and freedom it grants us, to not be rushed to catch a certain train, or cut a workout short, is truly priceless. I know now this is what I need to do. I now have a deep desire to put forth a great effort to launching a business and building it to a level of a profitable venture.

Now this does not mean I wish to cut ties with my current employer, after all without Trump I would have been in this situation and don't plan to cut my tenure short there. However, I do wish to be employed under other capacities, which is a bit premature to discuss but overall will benefit both the company and my intentions of growing a successful business.

My mission is now clear and I urge anyone who is interested in doing something different; whether it’s starting a business, changing jobs, completing a marathon… To do it! Take it slow in the beginning, take it one day at a time, this will greatly increase chances of success. If you commit to learn one new piece of information a day or take one step each day towards achieving your goals, pretty soon those days will add up and you will be well on your way to turning your desires into your active lifestyle.

Best,
